1. What does CHAMP stand for?
CHAMP is the Collaboration for Home Care Advances in Management and Practice. The CHAMP Program is the first national initiative to advance geriatric home care excellence.
2. Do I need to pay to participate in CHAMP?
Access to all of the Resources on the CHAMP web site, and participation in the Community, is free. Some CHAMP or Partner events may require a fee. If you elect to participate in a CHAMP course, a registration fee is also required.
3. Do I need to join to access any of the content on the CHAMP web site?
You may read all of the content on the CHAMP web site without a user name or password. But in order to take advantage of all the CHAMP Community has to offer (like being able to Ask an Expert your question), we encourage you to join and become a member. It only takes a minute, and will let you fully participate in all the Community has to offer.
4. Will I receive Continuing Education hours after I complete a CHAMP course?
All of CHAMP’s courses confer Continuing Education hours. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Visiting Nurse Service of New York Home Care, who is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New York State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
5. What if I need technical assistance?

6. Do I need a special computer or internet connection to participate in CHAMP?
CHAMP’s Community and Programs were designed to accommodate the computer systems and internet connections of a typical home health agency.
